Off to the races! The Kentucky Derby is the event of the year and fittingly labeled as “The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports.” Almost always held on the first Saturday of every May it’s an event that is looked forward to all year! As the official vodka of the Kentucky Derby Festival in 2017 and 2018 Jeptha Creed has always been a big supporter of Kentucky events and festivities. On that note, we’ve curated some cocktails that are sure to make your Oaks & Derby parties a smashing success!
Oaks Lily:
2oz Jeptha Creed Vodka
1/2oz Orange Liqueur
2oz Cranberry Juice
1/2oz Simple Syrup
1/2oz Lemon Juice
Lemon Wheel
Blackberries
Add vodka, liqueur, cranberry juice, simple syrup, and lemon juice to a shaker tin with ice.
Shake till cold then add ice to highball glass.
Strain shaker content over ice into highball glass.
Garnish with a lemon wheel and blackberries.
Mint Julep:
2oz Jeptha Creed Bourbon
1oz Simple Syrup
Crushed Ice
Mint Sprigs
Add splash of bourbon, simple syrup, and mint to glass and muddle to release flavors.
Add remainder of bourbon to glass then fill with crushed ice.
Garnish with mint sprig.
Bluegrass Belle:
2oz Jeptha Creed Blueberry Vodka
1oz Lime Juice
10z Mint Syrup
Mint Sprigs
Lemon Lime Soda
Add all of the ingredients into a shaker tin and muddle Mint Sprig.
Add ice to shaker tin and shake vigorously.
Strain shaker tin contents into Highball Glass full of ice.
Top with Sprite and Garnish with a Mint Sprig.
Jeptha Jenny:
2oz Jeptha Creed Bourbon
1/2oz Lemon Juice
1 Dash Bitters
Ginger Beer
Lemon & Mint
Add ice then ingredients to mule mug.
Top with ginger beer.
Garnish with mint and lemon.
