Jeptha Creed’s tour guides will make every guest wanting more Jeptha, and departing the distillery as a new member of the Jeptha Creed family. Tour guides lead a fun, accurate and educational tour! Our tours are full of Kentucky’s rich bourbon history, our distilling process and the provenance of our product. Guides will make sure all guest have a memorable engaging experience with extraordinary with our outstanding customer service. They will boost visitors experience at the gift shop and bar!

Guides will partner with other tour guides, distillers, and gift shop associates to form an irresistible winning team. Successful applicants must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, have strong communication skills; ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and ability and willingness to work. This is a part time position with an average of 10-20+ hours per week. Customer service/retail and or tourism experience is a must.

Essential Functions of the position

  • The perfect Host for any customer experiences
  • Preforms astounding tours of the distillery (approximate group size of 15-25)
  • Accomplishes opening/closing duties
  • Engages guest by discussing the history of the Bourbon/spirit making process
  • Directs tastings by educating guests about Jeptha’s spirits portfolio
  • Handle sales transactions and check-out through the cash register system.
  • Ensure store shelves are constantly stocked.

J.C. bartenders will boost visitors experience at the bar, make suggestions for purchases and help create a memorable experience for visitors. J.C. bartenders will partner with tour guides, distillers, and other team members to form an irresistible winning team. Successful applicants must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., have strong communication skills; ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and ability and willingness to work. This is a part time position, a average of 10-20 hours per week. Customer service/bar and or serving experience required. Essential Functions of the position

The Food and Beverage Manager oversees all aspects of Jeptha Creed’s Kitchen and Cocktail Bar planning and service, with duties to include menu planning and costs, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

 

The Food and Beverage manager delivers outstanding guest service and profitability. This manager will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards. Manage, support, schedule, assign daily responsibilities, inform and train team members in all bar and kitchen activities and operations. Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating staff performance. Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving guest complaints. The correct candidate will be capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

 

Jeptha Creed’s Food and Beverage Manager will ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. Manage and monitor product quality and service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly. Assist in monitoring inventory and inventory control. Help Identify marketing opportunities to our marketing team to promote food and beverage products.

 

 

The Food and Beverage Manger reports to the Visitor Center’s General Manager and leads the Bar and Kitchen staff. The Food and Beverage Manager is essential in leading the frontlines at the Visitor Center of the Distillery.

  • Creates delicious Food and Beverage recipes and creative presentation.
  • Easily capable to lead public speaking for Jeptha Creed, Jeptha Creed Experiences, Jeptha Creed Spirits, and Jeptha Creed’s Craft Cocktails and Food.
  • Educate and excite visitors, giving them an experience!
  • Educate and Promote Jeptha Creed Craft Cocktails and Food
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee/manage bar and kitchen during events.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure best profit for bar and kitchen
  • Maintain Bar and Kitchen budget, with cost of goods and profit.
  • Maintain completion of weekly Bar and Kitchen staff tip outs, Par levels, Inventory, and waste log
  • Maintain statistical and financial records of bar and kitchen KPI’s
  • Successfully executing Bar Reports keeping accurate KPI records
  • Coordinate with management and staff to ensure completion of all responsibilities of the distillery

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Restaurant Management, with knowledge of Table Service
  • 2+ years of Bartending Experience, with knowledge of Craft Cocktails
  • 2+ years of Hospitality Industry
  • Food Service Managers Certification
  • Weekends are required
  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 4 hours in length.
  • Able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift 70 pounds.
