Located in Shelbyville, KY, Jeptha Creed Distillery uses old-fashioned methods to meet today’s demanding modern tastes. We use only the finest ingredients, locally grown and sourced to ensure our products meet the highest expectations for quality and flavor. Owned and operated by dynamic mother and daughter duo Joyce and Autumn Nethery, Jeptha Creed sits on 64 acres of farmland, where we grow the Bloody Butcher Corn used for all of our products, including vodka, brandy, and bourbon.

Job Description

As the Project Manager, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure all deadlines are met. You will be responsible for delegating tasks to the right team members, checking their progress, and ensuring that each project is completed on time and to the highest standard. The Project Manager will be expected to play a pivotal role in the marketing and sales aspects of the business including:

  • Provide administrative support to the sales team, freeing them up to focus on revenue-generating activities
  • Organizing events, trade shows, and product launches to showcase products both in market and at the distillery
  • Being responsible for projects from initiation to close, making sure the work gets done efficiently and satisfactorily

This position requires intimate knowledge and understanding of the beverage alcohol business as well as time management, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.  This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a schedule and project timeline
  • Allocate project resources and team members
  • Be the leader in fulfilling our project commitments to our customers
  • Keep the project team focused on the end goal
  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously
  • Work with the Sales department to organize launch events and in-market events such as bottle signings, branded dinners, new product launches, etc
  • Work with the Visitor Center to organize and execute customer-focused events at the distillery such as Jammin’ at Jeptha, Harvest Festival, Farm to Table Dinner, etc
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand our account base and increase sales with existing accounts
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Visitor Center, Marketing, and Sales to drive business success
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  • Lead quality assurance within projects
  • Evaluate and assess the result of the project
  • Identify, roll out, and develop new processes when appropriate

Part Time Tour Host (Thursday – Sunday)

Pay:  From $15.00 per hour

Job Description:

Jeptha Creed Tour Host will make all guests a strong advocate of our distillery products!

 

Our Tour Host lead a fulfilling experience by illustrating knowledge of our distilling process, having passion for our products and share the provenance of our creed.  It is the responsibility of our tour host to guarantee a memorable experience to all of our guest by presenting remarkable customer service.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct sprit tasting experiences and review Jeptha Creed’s spirit portfolio
  • Engage with guests and educate them on our family’s background; and the history of our bourbon and other spirits created here at Jeptha Creed
  • Complete sales transactions by checking out guests through our point of sales system
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness with tasting experiences
  • Perform opening and closing front of house duties.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
  • Assist in all departments at the distillery, as needed

Skills and Experience

  • MUST be 21 or older
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to speak in front of large groups

Job Description

 Jeptha Creed Distillery is looking for an experienced bartender for a part-time position. Our bartenders boost visitor center proficiency, make suggestions for purchases, and create a memorable experience for visitors.

JC bartenders will partner with management, tour guides, distillers, and other team members to form an irresistible winning team. Successful applicants must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., have strong communication skills, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and ability and willingness to work. This is a part-time position, an average of 25-30 hours per week. Customer service/bar and or serving experience required.

Essential Functions of the position

  • Efficiently and professionally create cocktails for distillery guests
  • Perform opening/closing duties
  • Engage guests by discussing Jeptha Creed product knowledge
  • Direct tastings by educating guests about our spirits portfolio
  • Handle sales transactions and check-out through the cash register system.
  • Ensure cleanliness at all times
  • Answer questions from our guests with fact-based information

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Outgoing and engaging personality, articulate and charismatic
  • Desire to learn about and have a passion for the bourbon industry
  • Knowledge of craft spirits, cocktails, wine and beer

Great Compensation: $12.00 per hour + Tips
